CQC has opened registration for Event providers via the Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI) domain.

Providers intending to provide this regulated activity at events must register with CQC by 1st March 2027, and from 6th December 2027 it will be an offence if they provide services at an event without registering with CQC.

Further information on event registratiDedalus 2ons, scope and similar can be found via this link – if you’re already TDDI registered you’ll need to adjust your Purposes to include Event cover.

The word “proportionality” has been mentioned when determining whether Providers need to register. Mention is made of the risk of injury or harm, with much left to the event organiser to undertake a comprehensive risk-assessment.

We understand that those providing first-aid skills at events won’t be required to register with CQC, similarly single independent practitioners such as GP’s.

Whether programmes such as FREC 3 will be viewed as First Aid remains to be seen. Further updates to follow.
