In this episode of our Be Curious series, safeguarding expert Dave Blain interviews Dr Suzanne Smith, Executive Director for Barring and Safeguarding at The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We talk to Dr. Smith about her safeguarding career and her current position in the DBS. We also address referrals and why these are few in both the NHS and independent ambulance sector, risk to children and vulnerable adults and safeguarding, and sharing of information with the DBS.
