IAA Executive Chairman, Alan Howson, recently met with colleagues from the CQC as part of the Associations regular conversations with Government Departments, Regulators and key stakeholders.

Commenting on the meeting, Alan Howson said “The meeting covered a number of topics, which will be fed back to IAA Members in a fuller briefing. We recognise the CQC has a challenging job on their hands inspecting some 300 independent providers but I was struck with how open and positive the conversation was, all parties want the same thing: good clinical governance and consistent high standards of patient care and transport. Our Members can be reassured that their feedback on inspections is being shared and I look forward to continuing the conversation.”
